A Little Bit About Me
I’m Tabish Bhimani, an international citizen who has a keen understanding of human behavior, interaction, and perception. My cosmopolitan experience provides me with a vantage point through which I can identify the needs of, and means through which institutions and people can communicate effectively.
Academic and Extracurricular Activities
At York University in Toronto, Ontario I excelled to be an honors student, being recognized in the Dean’s Academic Achievement and Sessional Academic Achievement lists. I was also the Communications Director, and then Editor for the Winters Free Press news
journal.
I have now graduated from Concordia University’s Communications Program with a specialization in Video Production. Other than volunteering with the CUTV and Center for Research Action on Race Relations, I have remained the Deputy Convener for the World Partnership Walk, Canada’s largest walk of its kind, aimed at eradicating global poverty, for which I continue to offer support.
What I’m Doing Now
I am currently the Operations Manager at Quecan Distribution in Montreal. My three main goals are: smart procurement of products from the likes of Coca Cola, Pepsi, and Lassonde with an aim to reduce the average costs of products; recapturing lapsed clients and inviting new customers to become part of the Quecan family, all the while utilizing feedback to improve our services and strategies; designing a marketing strategy to improve communications across the Montreal region whereby we can deliver beneficial deals for clients and potential customers by servicing them with lower costs for products.
Hire Me! – Aspirations in Public Relations
My personal journey in communications has lead me to understand that perception is as good as reality, and managing that perception is of utmost importance. All my experiences have led me to the field of Public Relations. It’s amazing how effective PR is in bringing people together, and strengthening brands and reputations. PR is a move away from feeding people, to engaging with people. This is why I am part of the World Partnership Walk and am looking to work for a prestigious PR firm in Canada.
